Tissue Typing (HLA) Service is a section of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Nova Scotia Health and is located at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. This laboratory provides full service support to the Multi-Organ Transplant Program(MOTP) and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) programs in the Atlantic Region.

The Tissue Typing (HLA) Service performs testing in three different areas: Tissue (HLA) Typing, screening for pre-transplant HLA antibodies, and cross-matches of donor-recipient pairs.
